LUCENA CITY, Philippines—A suspected drug pusher was found dead in Infanta town in Quezon province on Monday, police said Tuesday.
The body of Renante Serra, who was included on the local police’s drug watch list, was found in a rice field in Barangay (village) Miswa at 8 a.m., said Chief Insp. Roberto Santos, Infanta police chief.
Santos said police had yet to determine how Serra died as reports did not indicate if his body bore any bullet or stab wounds.
In the island town of Polillo, suspected drug pusher Alwin Surco drowned in a well in Barangay Languyin also on Monday morning, police said.
Insp. Jun Balilo, Polillo police chief, said a drunken Surco fell into the well and drowned.
Balilo, in a telephone interview, said investigators did not find any indication of foul play in Surco’s death. RAM/rga
