Suspected drug dealer found dead in Bulacan town
CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan—A suspected drug pusher was found dead in Bulacan’s Bocaue town on Wednesday, with a sign strapped to his neck saying, “Huwag niyo akong tularan drug pusher ako. [Do not emulate me. I am a drug pusher].”
Bulacan police found the hogtied remains of Ramonito Nicolas Mendoza, also known by the nickname “Don Ramon,” in a vacant lot in Macam Street, Taal village, said Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat, Jr., Bulacan provincial director. Mendoza’s face was wrapped in a packaging tape. His head and torso bore gunshot wounds.
Mendoza was arrested in 2013 for selling illegal drugs, police said.
Caramat said Mendoza was abducted by four men after attending a hearing at the Malolos Regional Trial Court on drug charges. He was also the principal suspect in a separate murder case, police said.
At the crime scene, forensic investigators recovered four cartridges fired from a 9 mm pistol. SFM/rga
