Leni takes bus to Naga for inauguration party

NAGA CITY—Riding a commercial bus, Vice President Leni Robredo arrived 5:30 a.m. at the Naga central bus terminal on Saturday with the entourage of staff and Presidential Security Group to attend an inauguration party here later in the evening.

Simply clad in denims and striped shirt under a blue jacket, Robredo disembarked the air-con bus without fanfare even as local television crews anticipated her arrival.

Robredo’s arrival did not create a stir in the terminal while she walked toward the north end, stopping a bit to acknowledge people who called her “Vice President.”

She rode a dark blue car while the staff and PSG dispersed scrupulously to different vehicles. Robredo went directly to their house in Dayangdang to take a rest and freshen up before her first activity at 9 a.m.

Avril Daja, media relations staff of Robredo, said the Vice President was scheduled to attend a gathering at the Naga Central School I. In the afternoon, she will grace the inauguration party at Plaza Quezon beginning dusk.

Robredo will also meet with selected supporters in a luncheon at Avenue Plaza Hotel, according to a source who requested not be named due to lack of authority. CDG
