Sereno to Duterte, Robredo: May you be given wisdom to lead PH
May President-elect Rodrigo Duterte and incoming Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo be given wisdom and knowledge to lead the country, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno said, invoking the prayer of King Solomon in 2 Chronicles 1:10.
“That they be further blessed with vigor, dynamism, passion, boldness of heart and unity of mind to lead our country and our people,” Sereno added in a statement on Tuesday.

The high court chief congratulated both Duterte and Robredo, who emerged as winners in the recently concluded May 9 national elections. They were proclaimed the duly elected President and Vice President by Congress assembled as the National Board of Canvassers.
Sereno said the only thing she can assure the Duterte administration is that the Judiciary will continue to “administer the rule of law with an even hand and a watchful eye.”
