Stream nips Calltek
THE STREAM Blue Devils overcame the Calltek Trojans, 69-63, at the end of the elimination round of the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu last Sunday.
The Blue Devils will be the number one seed going into the playoffs, ending the elimination round 13 wins with only two defeats.
Glenn Mangubat led the Blue Devils with 17 points, Benjie Mancao pitched in 16, while Norbert Ampong and Gilbeys Cabrera had 12 and 11, respectively.
Mark Louise Gellez paced the Trojans with 15 markers, while Jan Pierre Gellez, Christian Judilla and Aerl Genebraldo added 10 each.
The last day of the elimination round saw the Kyocera Frontiers and the Accenture Sharks scoring default wins over the Qualfon Knights and Wipro Wildcats, respectively.
Only eight out of the 16 competing teams advanced to the quarterfinal round.
