Duterte surpasses Aquino’s total votes in 2010

With 74.91% or 41,752,443 votes counted, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has already surpassed the total number of votes President Benigno Aquino III got in 2010.

As of 11:29 a.m., Duterte already received 15,295,515 votes, which was 86,837 more than the 15,208,678 gotten by Aquino when he won in 2010.

Meanwhile, Aquino’s anointed Mar Roxas got 9,221,159 votes, based on results shown on the Comelec Transparency Server.

In the vice presidential race, Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo was in the lead with 13,386,862 votes followed closely by Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos with 13,204,862 votes. Robredo led Marcos with 182,000 votes.

In the Senatorial race, Senator Franklin Drilon is now in the lead with 17,425,158 followed closely by former Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) head Joel Villanueva with 17,405,806 votes.
