NAGA CITY–Even in the summer heat, vice presidential aspirant Leni Robredo stayed calm throughout a near two-hour ordeal in her voting precinct.
Robredo had to endure the heat inside the crowded Tabuco Elementary School here as the vote counting machine (VCM) in her precinct broke down and had to be replaced.

Instead of leaving her filled-in ballot to the volunteer teachers, Robredo opted to go back outside and wait in line.
“Lahat naman naghintay pero I don’t mind mag hintay,” Robredo said Monday after finally casting her vote.
Robredo arrived at Precinct 119 at 9:35 a.m. but was able to cast her vote at 11:20 a.m.

Just like the rest, Robredo stood in line with some voters asking her for pictures while waiting.
Even with the delay, Robredo remained positive, pointing out that only her precinct out of several had a malfunctioning VCM at Tabuco Elementary School.

“Sa buong school, precinct lang naman namin ang nagka aberya, it happens, sana next time ma-limit, pero di naman talaga maiiwasan, ma limit na may masira,” Robredo said. “Ayusin nila maintenance kasi mahirap na nasisira kung kailan kailangan.”
“Sana hindi nito ma-affect ang integrity ng botohan, kasi yung election nakasalalay sa confidence ng mga tao, sa integridad ng proseso. Sana mechanical lang talaga, wala namang may gustong mangyari ito.” CFC
