ILOILO CITY – The new frontrunner in the vice presidential race Leni Robredo asked for continued support from the public as she takes the lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey five days before the elections.

“We are grateful that we have finally topped the Pulse Asia survey with a few days to go before elections,” said Robredo in a statement on Wednesday.

“Tuluy-tuloy lang po ang suporta para masiguro ang tunay na panalo sa ika-siyam ng Mayo,” said Robredo.

The Liberal Party vice presidential bet rose to the top of the survey with 30 percent, overtaking her closest rival Senator Bongbong Marcos for the second time.

In the previous Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from April 18 to 20, Robredo garnered 26 percent, one point ahead of Marcos.

The latest survey commissioned by ABS-CBN was conducted from April 26 to 29 with 4,000 respondents. It has a sampling margin of error of plus/minus 1.5 percent.

Trailing behind Robredo is Marcos with 28 percent, a three-point decrease from the previous survey, while Senator Francis Escudero remained at 18 percent. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano got 15 percent while Senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Gringo Honasan received 3 percent and 2 percent of the votes, respectively.

Robredo also led in Visayas with 42 percent and shared statistical leads in Mindanao with Marcos and Cayetano.

Meanwhile, LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas also gained ground in the latest Pulse Asia survey with 22 percent, a point ahead of former frontrunner Senator Grace Poe. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s rating remained at 33 percent. CDG
