Presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said that he is willing to make public the transaction history of his bank accounts up to 20 years but he would only do so if his rivals would open theirs first.

In an interview with reporters in Sorsogon City on Saturday, Duterte said: “Gawin na niyang 20 years…Bakit ako lang? Ano ako uto-uto nila? Pareho kaming tatakbong presidente, bakit ako lang?”

The presidential race front-runner also said that he was just fooling his accuser, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, when he said that he has “a little less than P211 million” in his bank accounts.

“Hinila ko lang siya nang hinila kasi gusto ko siyang mag-execute ng affidavit… If he signs an affidavit stating that this is my account and the amount deposited, (expletive deleted) kaso ito,” Duterte said.

Duterte  earlier made public his transaction history in the BPI Julia Vargas branch which showed that it only has P17,000. The bank statement, however, only showed transactions from December 2015 to April 28, 2016.

Trillanes alleged the million-peso deposits happened in 2014.

A press statement sent by Duterte’s camp said that the tough-talking mayor would donate the P17,000 in his bank account to Caritas Philippines.

Trillanes and Duterte’s lawyer, Atty. Salvador Panelo, will meet on Monday, May 2, in the said BPI branch supposedly to open the mayor’s bank account. JE/rga
