Marcos tops Pulse survey

Less than two weeks before Election Day, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. remains the front-runner in the vice presidential race, according to the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey.

The survey, conducted from April 17 to 24, showed Marcos leading with 31 percent of voter preference among 4,000 respondents nationwide.

Marcos enjoys a five-point lead over his closest rival, Camarines Sur Rep. Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo, who scored 26 percent.

Independent candidate Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero is in third place with 18 percent, while Senators Alan Peter Cayetano is at 15 percent, Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan II at 3 percent and Antonio Trillanes IV is last with 2 percent.

Five percent of the respondents remained undecided.

In the different geographic areas, Marcos maintained his lead in the National Capital Region with 45 percent and in Balance Luzon with 38 percent.

Robredo was the top pick of respondents in Visayas with 39 percent while Cayetano won Mindanao with 31 percent.

Among socioeconomic classes, Marcos topped Class ABC with 38 percent and Class D with 31 percent.

Robredo, meanwhile, led Class E with 30 percent of voter preference.

The survey had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 1.5 percentage points. RC
