Duterte asks voters: Criminal killer or public funds thief?
SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan—A killer of criminals or a thief of public funds?
That was the question of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte following presidential rival Vice President Jejomar Binay’s statements urging Filipinos not to vote for him due to allegations of human rights violations and extrajudicial killings.
“Mamili kayo, killer ng kriminal o yung magnanakaw sa kaban (ng bayan) pati yung asawa, yung anak?” Duterte told reporters in a campaign rally here Wednesday.
In a radio interview, Binay said Filipinos had a “moral obligation” not to vote for Duterte.

Article continues after this advertisementBinay also issued similar remarks in a video posted on his official Facebook page where he convinced voters not to elect Duterte into the highest post in the country.

“Kayo ’wag kayong bumoto kay Binay kasi mauubos ang kwarta. Ako kung magpatay ako ng kriminal, ang masasaktan yung kriminal lang, pero kung si Binay na presidente ang masakatan yung bulsa niyo,” he said. RC
