Jaime Napoles appeal to reverse ruling on tax evasion rap junked

The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) has dismissed the appeal filed by Jaime Napoles which seeks a reversal of the court’s February ruling denying his bid to dismiss the tax evasion case filed against him.

In a resolution made public Friday, the tax court dismissed the motion for reconsideration for lack of merit.

Mr. Napoles’ tax liability based on the Department of Justice resolution is P16,470,402.7 for 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012.

His arraignment is set on April 6. RAM
