The Philippine Army showcased its troops and assets at their 119th anniversary held on Tuesday at Fort Bonifacio.
At the end of the program, the soldiers from different Army units, mostly deployed in Luzon, participated in the pass-in-review.
The parade of troops was followed by a showcase of assets: the assault vans of the Special Operations Command; KM450s; explosive ordnance disposal teams; combat tracking teams; armored vehicles; 105mm howitzers; and disaster response assets.
President Benigno Aquino III, guest of honor and speaker at the event, took pride of the acquisitions of the Army and the rest of the military.
He said there are 68 modernization projects of the Armed Forces of the Philippines worth P58.43 billion completed since he assumed office in 2010.
