Poe to Roxas: Experience is not everything

Poe: Thick resume isn't everything; Roxas: Presidency no place for OJT

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Senator Grace Poe appeared clueless by former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas’ statement that the presidency is not like undergoing an OJT (on-the job training) but shot back at him anyway.

“Ako ba ang sinasabihan nya?” Poe said when a reporter asked about Roxas’ statement during the first presidential debate held here at the Capitol University on Sunday.

When told that it was an apparent reference to her, the senator said: “Ah ganun ba?

Instead of running for president in 2010, Roxas gave way to President Benigno Aquino III, who was then serving his first three years  in the Senate.

Roxas ran as Aquino’s running mate but lost to Vice President Jejomar Binay.

The senator did not name names but Roxas served three administrations — former Presidents Joseph Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and Aquino.
