Susan Roces expected to join Poe in Iloilo rally

VETERAN actress Susan Roces is expected to join presidential aspirant Senator Grace Poe when the latter returns to Iloilo on Tuesday for a series of activities that included a political rally and a visit to a church in Jaro where she was found abandoned as a baby.
Poe, a foundling, was adopted by Roces and her husband, the late action king Fernando Poe Jr.
Roces is scheduled to join a market tour in the province, according to the itinerary sent to reporters by the senator’s office. This is the first time that she will join her daughter’s sortie since the official campaign period started last February 9.
She was, however, present in some of her daughter’s major activities like Poe’s declaration of her presidential bid at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City in September last year.
Roces also accompanied her daughter during the first oral argument of the Supreme Court last month on the disqualification case filed against the senator.

Poe, her running mate Senator Francis Escudero and their senatorial bets under Partido Galing ng Puso will have a full schedule in the province starting with a market tour, and a press conference in the morning.
In the afternoon, the team is scheduled to visit the University of Iloilo and the Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral, where she was found.
They will also hold a political rally, scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., at the Jaro Plaza.
On Wednesday, Poe’s team will campaign in Roxas City, the bailiwick of the administration’s bet, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.
