After health scare, Duterte officiates mass wedding
DAVAO CITY—There was nothing unusual with presidential aspirant Rodrigo Duterte when he showed up at the village gymnasium in Barangay Tigatto here on Saturday afternoon to officiate the mass wedding of 99 couples.
He was his usual self, showing no signs of deteriorating health.
He was late, as usual. He threw jokes to the crowd and gave pieces of advice to the soon-to-be married couples.
He came with his common-law wife Honeylet and daughter Veronica.
Also present were his running mate Allan Peter Cayetano and his wife, Taguig City Mayor Lanie.
But Duterte stayed for less than an hour as he and Cayetano had to rush to Tagum City for a campaign rally there. Nico Alconaba, Inquirer Mindanao
