Thousands gather for Poe-Escudero rally in FPJ hometown

PANGASINAN—Thousands gathered at the Department of Education Central 2 in San Carlos City on Friday for the first provincial proclamation rally of Partido Galing at Puso of Senators Grace Poe and Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

San Carlos is the home province of Poe’s late father, actor and 2004 presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ)

Both independent candidates, Poe is running for president while Escudero is her running mate.

The rally started at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-show from the band True Faith and performances from other local entertainers.

Both Poe and Escudero are expected to attend the event along with some of their senatorial candidates.

Earlier in the day, the two and some senatorial bets visited at least three universities here. RC
