‘Ramon’ continues to move away from Philippines

MANILA, Philippines—Tropical depression “Ramon” continued to move away from the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Friday.

As of 10 a.m., Ramon was seen 340 kilometers west of Laoag City with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour, the state weather bureau said.

It was moving north-northwest at 19 kilometers per hour.

Ramon was expected to be 670 kilometers west-northwest  of Basco, Batanes by Saturday morning.
