‘Ramon’ leaves 9 dead, affects 51,300

MANILA, Philippines—Tropical depression “Ramon” was blowing out of the Philippines after leaving nine people dead and affecting more than 51,300 people, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Friday.

Two were reported missing, the NDRRMC said in its bulletin.

The affected families were from the Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen and Caraga, it said.

A total of 7,789 persons received government assistance inside and outside the evacuation centers, the NDRRMC said.
