Party-list groups kick off campaign in Cotabato City
COTABATO CITY – The Anak Mindanao (Amin) party-list kicked off its campaign here with a motorcade around the city on Tuesday morning.
Some 2,000 Amin leaders and supporters of party-list Rep. Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman were onboard vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles as they roamed around the city starting 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Rep. Hataman, wife of Gov. Mujiv Hataman of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, is pushing for Islamic banking system in the country. Her bill is now pending in Congress.
Meanwhile, the Federation of the International Cable TV and Telecommunications Association of the Philippines (FICTAP) party-list also started its campaign here Tuesday with Estrellita “Neng” Juliano-Tamano, national chairperson, as its number one nominee.
FICTAP is the largest non-profit organization of cable television operators in the country. Its members include of small and medium cable enterprises that have embraced the expansion from delivering traditional cable TV into telecommunications and value-added services.
