A SUSPECTED Abu Sayyaf member was arrested by the military in Sulu early Monday.

Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, commander of Joint Task Group Sulu, said that soldiers from the 35th Infantry Battalion were on patrol when they seized Basir Aden, believed to be a member of the terrorist group at around 4 a.m. in sitio Tubig Paton in Patikul town.

“Two of his companions were able to elude the operating troops,” he said.
