96-year-old woman killed in Taguig fire

A 96-year-old woman was killed in a fire in Taguig City on Friday.

Initial information reaching the Taguig Fire department identified the fatality as Manuela Buquel.

F01 Lady Arcega said based on initial information, Buquel was inside her room and was unable to escape the fire that hit her house on Apag St. in Barangay Ususan at 10:45 a.m.

It was unclear so far if Buquel died of burns or suffocation, and if other houses were damaged in the incident.
