Jan. 26 coldest day in Baguio in 2016
BAGUIO CITY—The temperature dropped to 10.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, making it the coldest day for the summer capital this year, following a sharp drop to 11.5 degrees on Jan. 25 from the relatively warm 15.6 degrees on Sunday morning, said Ian Jasper Pelayo, weather observer of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration station here.
The sudden Baguio chill was triggered by the northeast monsoon blowing from China, which brought along the winter air from the northern hemisphere, he said. RAM
