The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) assured that power restoration efforts will immediately be conducted once areas in Lanao del Sur have been secured following the bombing of two of its towers last Dec. 24.

In a statement, NGCP also called on the public to report any suspicious activities in its facilities to prevent similar incidents.

Last Dec. 24, at 10:47 p.m., tower 25, located at Brgy. (village) Gandamatu, Ramain, Lanao del Sur, along NGCP’s Agus2-Kibawe 138 KV line, was toppled by unknown lawless elements. Fifteen minutes later, at approximately 11 p.m., tower 95 located in the vicinity of Brgy. Aroman, Carmen, North Cotabato, along NGCP’s Kibawe – Kabakan 138 KV lines 1 and 2, was also bombed.
