A TOTAL of 195 policemen from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) have been deployed to southern Metro Manila to ensure zero untoward incidents during the holidays.

In a statement late Wednesday, the Southern Police District (SPD)—which covers the cities of Makati, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Taguig and Pasay and the municipality of Pateros—said that the deployment of the 195 policemen were on top of the 20 Special Action Force personnel assigned to the SPD by the Philippine National Police officials as an “augmentation force.”

“The SPD workforce (gives the assurance) that the people will enjoy the yuletide season without any untoward incidents,” the statement said, adding that the police “shall be ever present, visible and on alert to serve and protect the citizens while the whole nation is celebrating.” Kristine Felisse Mangunay
