Anakbayan: LP, Roxas behind disqualification cases vs Poe
A militant youth group on Wednesday said Liberal Party (LP) and its presidential bet, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, were involved in the slew of disqualification cases filed against poll front-runner Sen. Grace Poe.
Anakbayan said the number of disqualification cases filed against Poe showed the administration’s supposed desperation to place Roxas in Malacañang in May 2016.
“The Liberal Party and the Aquino administration is so desperate, knowing fully well that their candidate Mar Roxas will not have a chance without them employing black propaganda and massive cheating operations. The yellow [Commission on Elections] commissioners are kabarkadas and kabarilans of LP leaders. Mina-magic ang eleksyon for Mar,” Anakbayan national chair Vencer Crisostomo said.
He said there should be an investigation into the background of the Comelec commissioners who voted to disqualify Poe, specifically Commissioners Al Parreño and Arthur Lim.
Parreño and Lim are fraternity brothers with Liberal Party stalwart Franklin Drilon in UP Sigma Rho. Supreme Court Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, who voted in favor of a petition disqualifying Poe in the Senate Electoral Tribunal, is also a Sigma Rho fraternity brother.
“We should look into the background of the commissioners who are being used by the (Malacañang) Palace for their dirty operations to hijack and control the elections,” he said.

“E di ‘yung mga katunggali ko na dalawa na sigurado ako may mga taong ‘yun na nagpaharap ng mga kasong yun,” Poe said.
Anakbayan is allied with the left-leaning Makabayan coalition. Makabayan has thrown its support for Poe’s presidential bid with Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares belonging in Poe’s senatorial slate. RC
