Robredo asserts stand vs ‘ironclad-type’ leadership, denies criticizing Duterte
Camarines Representative Leni Robredo stood by her statement on Monday against an ironclad-type leadership but denied criticizing the leadership of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
Robredo said she only made the remark when asked if she was in favor of an ironclad Duterte-type leadership.
“I never made any mention of Davao… I was just referring to the kind of leadership, and I stand by what I said,” she said during a vice presidential forum at the University of the Philippines in Quezon City.
“But I was not comparing Naga with anyone else… Iba-iba naman ang approaches; hindi natin pinupuna ang ang kahit na anong istilo,” she further said.
Asked to comment on the disqualification cases against Senator Grace Poe over her citizenship, who has been leading the presidential surveys, Robredo declined, saying her statements had always been twisted.

Robredo noted that she only gave her opinion on the issue before because no case has been filed yet against Poe.
