Another drug suspect arrested in Digos City’s Oplan Big Bertha
DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur, Philippines — Another suspected drug pusher fell into the hands of police authorities here during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday.
Chief Insp. Jose Teody Condesa, chief of the police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Davao del Sur, identified the arrested suspect as Deev Daug-Daug Panerio, 24, single and a resident of Barangay Sampaguita in Matanao, Davao del Sur.
Condesa said the buy-bust operation was conducted after authorities got a tip-off on the illegal activities of the suspect in Barangay San Agustin here.
A poseur-buyer was able to get a sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from the suspect, using a marked P500 bill.
Also seized from the suspect’s possession were two more sachets of suspected shabu valued at more than P3,000 and a Nokia cellular phone.
“Our anti-drug operation was continuing under Operation Big Bertha,” Condesa said.
