Several roads in Metro Manila will be closed to traffic on November 16 to 20 during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) leaders’ meeting in Manila.
In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) issued the following traffic advisory and rerouting scheme.
Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak to MIA and NAIA road will be fully closed on both directions starting November 16, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. to November 20, 2015.
Road closures in the Mall of Asia Arena will be from November 18, 2015 starting 6 a.m. until midnight.
Road closures in the Cultural Center of the Philippines area will be from November 16 to 20, 2015.
The MMDA has also designated Apec lanes along the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (Edsa).
The agency said the two innermost lanes of Edsa from Shaw Boulevard to Roxas Boulevard on both directions would strictly be used for authorized vehicles only from November 16 to 20.
The MMDA said motorists may use the Mabuhay Lanes as an alternate routes going to their destination.
The agency, however, reminded motorists that number coding will be implemented on November 16 to 20.
It said that a daytime truck ban would be implemented along the south truck routes, where trucks would only be allowed to use the route from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
However, a 24-hour truck ban will be implemented along Roxas Boulevard from November 17 to 20. RAM
