As Typhoon “Lando” whipped Luzon, over 50 international and domestic flights were affected resulting in 18 of them being canceled and the rest suffering arrival and departure delays.
According to the Manila International Airport Authority, canceled as of 9 a.m. were Philippine Airlines (PAL) Manila-Laoag-Manila flights PR 2196, PR 2197, PR 2198, and PR 2199; Manila-Basco-Manila PR 2084 and PR 2085; Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila PR 2014 and PR 2015; Cebu Pacific-Tiger Airways Manila-Naga-Manila flights DG 6113 and DG 6114.
Also canceled were: Cebu Pacific Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila 5J 504, 5J 505, 5J 506, and 5J 507; Manila-Virac-Manila flights 5J 821 and 5J 822; as well as Manila-Pagadian-Manila flights 5J 771 and 5J 772.
Lando also delayed the arrival and departure of 39 flights from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan as well as other domestic aircraft.
Delayed flights included a Jet Star flight from Singapore 3K 763A; and 3K 763D bound for Kansai Osaka, Japan; as well as Cebu Pacific flight 5J 110 to Hong Kong.
The other affected domestic flights were PAL and CebuPac aircraft bound for Tagbilaran; Cagayan; San Jose, Mindoro; Cebu; Ozamiz; Butuan; and Bacolod as well as those from Roxas and Zamboanga. RAM
