LUCENA CITY — Police arrested two car-riding drug traffickers and seized shabu (crystal meth), an illegal firearm in a buy-bust operation in Laurel town in Batangas province on Friday, Dec. 20.

The Region 4A police, said in a report Saturday, Dec 21, that anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested “Madam” and “Jaypee” at 6:18 p.m. after they sold P13,000 worth of meth to a poseur buyer in Barangay Molinete.

Confiscated from the suspect were two plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 10 grams worth about P68,000 as per the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).

Also seized was an undocumented Taurus caliber .9mm revolver loaded with five bullets and a mobile phone which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

The police also confiscated a car believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug business.

Police tagged both suspects as identified street-level drug pushers in their localities.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges for allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of a firearm.
