4 Chinese busted, 1 dead in QC antidrug operations
FOUR Chinese nationals and their local accomplice yielded about P50 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (“shabu”) when arrested in a buy-bust operation in Quezon City early Thursday, the police said.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspects as Zheng Yong, 30; Xiong Bun Sy, 33; Guo Weng, 46; Chang Cheng Xu, 41, and Alexander Go, 57, a Chinese-Filipino from Pasay City. Yong, Sy, Weng and Xu are reportedly natives of Fukien, China.
They were entrapped by a team from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) after a transaction on the parking lot of T&K Building on Congressional Avenue near Edsa in Barangay Magsaysay, where they sold 2 kilos of shabu to a poseur buyer for P4 million.
Eight more kilos of the drug were found in their two vehicles—a silver Toyota Altis and a white Hyundai Accent.
The total, 10-kilo drug haul could have a street value of up to P50 million, according to Insp. Robert Razon of the NCRPO’s Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs unit, who led the operation.

Two other drug users were in the drug den with Onyok but managed to escape when the raiding team arrived, Figeroa said.
According to the official, Onyok wielded a .38-cal revolver and initiated the gunfight where he was eventually killed. The police also recovered six motorcycles—all believed to be stolen—and three cell phones at the crime scene.
