A STABBING incident occurred inside the Maximum Security Compound of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

The stabbing happened at 3:40 p.m. at the back of Building 5, authorities said.

Inmate Edward Villanueva, a member of the Commando Gang, stabbed in the right elbow Cesar Aguilar using an improvised bladed weapon.

The victim is currently at the NBP Hospital.

Initial report said ownership of carpentry tools sparked a misunderstanding between the two inmates.

But a source said the victim is an escort of drug lord Jaybee Sebastian, who early this month resisted his transfer to Building 14.

Building 14 is the newly renovated building inside NBP’s Maximum Security Compound where high-risk inmates are locked up.
