Italian resto owner abducted in Dipolog City
AN Italian restaurant owner was reportedly snatched by armed men in Dipolog City on Wednesday evening.
Police authorities said the owner of Ur Choice Cafe was abducted by about six armed men at around 7 p.m.
The victim was taken away aboard a gray van, which immediately sped off from the area, initial police reports said.
Police declined to name the victim, but a source identified him as Rolando del Torchio, a former missionary man in his 60s.
The victim owns the Italian cafe at the Andres Bonifacio College compound.
Local police forces were already deployed to seal off exit points while the coast guard is already patrolling around the coast.
