LEGAZPI CITY—Two women and five men were arrested by the police for using fake credit cards noontime here on Wednesday.

Supt. Joselito Esico, Legazpi City police chief, said the suspects from Metro Manila purchased two LED television sets and a Magic Sing that amounted to P112,000 at Jayson Marketing store using two fake credit cards of EastWest Bank and RCBC at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Several hours after the purchase, the banks called the store, informing them that the credit cards used were fake.

Esico said the police arrested the suspects around 11 a.m. on Wednesday after locating the Toyota van used during the purchase of the appliances.
