Pagasa issues thunderstorm warning in parts of NCR, Luzon
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm warning in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby Luzon provinces Sunday at around 1 in the afternoon.
Pagasa said that the cities of Quezon City, Marikina, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Manila in the NCR, Bulacan, southern Quezon, and portions of Cavite and Batangas will be experiencing thunderstorms which may persist within the next two hours.
Residents living in Laguna, Pampanga, and other areas of Metro Manila and Bulacan will also expect thunderstorms for the next hour, Pagasa said.
The state weather bureau warned residents living in the said areas regarding the heavy rains, strong winds, lightning, and possible flash floods.
Meanwhile, areas in Visayas and Mindanao will also experience thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.
Parts of Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Zamboanga City, Bukidnon, Agusan del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will experience thunderstorms within the next two hours. AJH/JE
