Iglesia Ni Cristo members joining their church’s protest rally along EDSA were seeking shelter from the rain under the Ortigas flyover and inside the nearby Robinsons Galleria and SM Megamall, as of Sunday night.

The members kept their distance from the Edsa Shrine although they repeatedly kept chanting “Walang uuwi!” and “INC!” as if to bolster their comrades’ spirits.

The small group, which earlier crossed Ortigas Avenue as if going to the People Power Monument, also sought cover from the rain.

FEATURED STORIES

From a distance, unarmed policemen at the Edsa Shrine kept an eye on the INC members, not lifting a finger whenever groups walked past the shrine or even when the members loudly chanted during the evening Masses.

Traffic was slow along the northbound lane of Edsa while the southbound lane has been blocked by members. Meanwhile, traffic was slow along Ortigas Avenue.

It was still unclear what the INC members would do next.
