A NEW anomaly involving more than P1 billion worth of contracts with three companies allegedly owned by the Binays will be exposed at the continuation of the hearing of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee on Wednesday, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said on Monday.

“I will have an announcement, sa Wednesday meron tayong hearing dito against Vice President (Jejomar) Binay. Ang ilalabas natin yung janitorial services, security services, IT services sa Makati ay lahat kinorner ng mga kompanya ni VP Binay. Ito nagkakahalaga ng lagpas P1 billion,” Trillanes told reporters.

He said the contracts totaling to more than P1 billion a year were allegedly cornered by three companies owned by the Binay family.

The alleged anomaly, he said, happened during the time of suspended Makati Mayor Junjun Binay but the senator believes that the mayor only inherited it from his father, who was a long time city mayor before he became Vice President in 2010.

While he could not say yet how much went to the Binays’ pocket from those contracts, the senator said: “Daang-daang milyon ang kinikita nila dito (They earned hundreds of millions from this).”

Trillanes said they have witnesses and documents to prove his allegations.

“Makikita nyo lahat kung papaano nila minaniobra para makorner itong mga kontratang malalaki na ito… (You’ll all see how they maneuvered theses big contracts),” he added.
