8 in 10 Inquirer readers favor Roxas-Poe tandem
JUST like administration coalition presidential candidate Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, many Inquirer readers are hoping that he would have Senator Grace Poe as his running mate for the 2016 elections.
In a poll conducted from August 5 to 10, eight in 10 INQUIRER.net readers, or 76.14 percent of the total respondents, said that they want a Roxas-Poe tandem for the administration coalition.
The question answered by Inquirer readers was “Should Mar Roxas and Grace Poe run together?”
About 2,200 readers or 9.57 percent of the total respondents said that having a Roxas-Poe tandem “won’t matter” because Vice President Jejomar Binay will win the coveted presidency.
Some readers of the Inquirer believe that they should split and separately run for president (1,866 readers or 8.05 percent).

Meanwhile, other personalities being floated by the Liberal Party for Roxas’ vice president include Batangas Governor and actress Vilma Santos-Recto and Camarines Sur Representative Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo. But both shunned the prospect of running for vice president.
Poe, on her part, has yet to publicly announce her plans for the 2016 polls.
The poll, which was answered by 23, 194 respondents, was posted in the INQUIRER.net homepage.
