Rainy Monday expected–Pagasa

Light to moderate rain will affect most of the country on Monday, the weather bureau said.

To be affected are Metro Manila, the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro and Palawan, and parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its bulletin.

The cloudy and rainy weather is due to an intertropical convergence zone, Pagasa said.
Over the weekend, Pagasa said the onset of the rainy season was imminent as indicated by the frequent incidents of rain in the past few days.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over Luzon, Pagasa said.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the south will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest going south resulting slight to moderate seas.
