Seller of pen guns on Facebook held in QC
A 21-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon in Quezon City for selling “pen guns” online.
The suspect was identified as Augustine Maninang of San Antonio, Lubao, Pampanga province.
Chief Insp. Melchor Cantil of the city police special operations unit said a concerned citizen had alerted them to the “homemade firearms” Maninang was offering on Facebook.

Cantil said pen guns are considered “loose firearms” as they can be powerful enough to kill a person.
A trap was set for Maninang at a restaurant on Mindanao Avenue after an undercover agent offered to buy two pen guns at P2,300 each. The man faces charges for illegal possession of firearms.–Jaymee T. Gamil
