Espina to cops: Draw inspiration from 25 promoted officers

PHILIPPINE National Police officer in charge Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina urged members of the police force to take inspiration from 25 police officers who were promoted to higher ranks.

In simple ceremony at Camp Crame Thursday, Espina gave new Pershing caps and insignia of ranks to four chief superintendents and 21 senior superintendents who were accompanied by their families.

“This is the beginning of your journey as chief superintendents and senior superintendents. May you cherish this day and remember your hardships from being a ‘sampaguita’ to ‘three sampaguita’ and now a star,” Espina said.

“I encourage our fellow police officers to work hard and be the next star officers,” he added.

The promotions were approved by President Benigno Aquino III as recommended by Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Espina.
