LEGAZPI CITY–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake jolted parts of Bicol region on Tuesday morning, a state seismologist said.
Renato Solidum of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake felt at 5:50 a.m. was tectonic in origin. It had a depth of 20 kilometers south, 13 degrees east of Virac, Catanduanes.
Philvolcs said intensity 2 was recorded in Lignon Hill in Legazpi City and intensity 1 in Cabid-an, Sorsogon City.
Solidum said no damages were recorded.
