PRC announces 884 new electrical engineers, 1,134 new master electricians

Out of the 1,886 examinees last April, 884 passed the examination for Registered Electrical Engineers (REE) while 1,134 out of 2,705 passed the test for Registered Master Electricians (RME), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced.

The PRC on Thursday said the results for the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination were released two working days after the last day of the test, which was held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena.

Exam passers will be required to register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. The issuance of the professional identification card and certificate of registration for RME’s will be on May 11 while that of REE’s will be on May 12.

Batangas State University was the top performing school with 40 or more electrical engineer licensure examinees. It had a passing rate of 90.91 percent (40 passed out of 44).

Meanwhile, the De La Salle University in Lipa, Batangas bagged the top spot among schools with 50 or more RME licensure examinees. It had a passing rate of 83.54 percent (66 passed out of 79).
