NP men going on a cruise, may map out 2016 plans – Marcos

WHILE on a cruise, the Nacionalista Party (NP) being headed by former Senator Manny Villar might talk about its plans in 2016, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong ”Marcos Jr. said on Tuesday.

Senators Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., an NP member, confirmed that the group would go on a cruise. He did not say when but a source said the party members would leave on Friday, April 22.

“Mayroon cruise. I’m sure pag-uusapan ang plano sa 2016,” Marcos said in a text message when asked about the trip and the possibility that they would discuss the 2016 elections.

Also asked about the cruise and the possibility that the NP would make a decision about the 2016 polls, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said: “Not yet. But I’m sure there would be extensive discussions on the different option for our party.”

“There should also be declarations of intent among NP members for planning purposes,” Trillanes, who also belongs to NP, said in a separate text message.

So far, only Trillanes and Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano have pubic expressed their desire to run for a higher post in 2016.

Trillanes said he is running for vice president while Cayetano is eyeing the presidency.
