Binay, in an interview on Wednesday, confirmed reports that June will be the tentative date for the launching of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) as a new political party.

UNA is currently being headed by Binay, former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, and detained Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile.

Among the NP members are Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Antonio Trillanes IV who have openly accused Binay of corruption especially when he was still the mayor of Makati City.
Binay, who openly declared his intention to run for president, repeatedly denied the allegations. RC
