73-year-old Binay says he’s fit to run for President
MANILA, Philippines—Vice President Jejomar Binay may be 73 years old but he believes that he is very much fit to run for public office in the 2016 elections.
“I can still exercise,” Binay told television host-news anchor Anthony Taberna over “Tapatan ni Tunying” aired on Thursday afternoon.
Binay also dispelled persistent rumors that he has a kidney ailment.
“If you undergo dialysis, you are poked by needles and when you are touched it’s like you are electrocuted,” he said.
Dialysis is a medical procedure for removing waste and excess water from the blood, as a replacement for failure of kidney function.
Binay said the issue of kidney ailment has been thrown at him since 1990s.
