12 domestic flights cancelled at NAIA due to ‘Chedeng’

Bracing for bad weather from Tropical Cyclone “Chedeng” (international name Maysak), airline companies cancelled 12 domestic flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

According to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), most of the flights cancelled due to bad weather were at the NAIA Terminal 3.

Among the cancelled flights at the terminal are: Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express flights PR-2014 and PR-2015, Manila to Tuguegarao and Tuguegarao to Manila; and Cebu Pacific flights 5J-404, 5J-405, 5J-504, 5J-505, 5J-506, 5J-507, bound for Manila to Laoag and vice-versa as well as Manila to Tuguegarao and back.

Cancelled flights at the NAIA terminal 2 are PAL Express flights PR 2196 and PR 2197 bound for Manila to Laoag and vice-versa while Skyjet flights M8 816 and M8 815 for Manila to Basco, Batanes, and back at the NAIA Terminal 4 were aborted.

PAL assured the public that its affected passengers could rebook within 30 days from their original flight date for free, offering an option of a refund of their tickets without penalties.

Cebu Pacific said that passengers in the cancelled flights would be accommodated for free on the soonest available flights.

Affected passengers have also been offered the alternative to rebook within 30 days from their previous departure date or seek a full refund. Either option will not carry penalties, Cebu Pacific has assured.
