‘Chedeng’ to become LPA within 24 hours
Tropical depression “Chedeng” (international name: Maysak) is expected to become a low pressure area (LPA) within the next 24 hours as it traverses Isabela province, the state weather bureau said late Sunday morning.
In its 11 a.m weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Chedeng continues to pack maximum winds at 55 kph near the center and is moving northwest at 13 kph.
The tropical depression remained almost stationary off Aurora province early Sunday until moving again, shifting northwards and making landfall over Dimapigue, Isabela.
As of 10 a.m, Chedeng’s center was located over Palanan town.
Pagasa said the tropical depression is bringing light to moderate rain areas within its 150-kilometer diameter.

The state weather bureau also cautioned fishermen from venturing out at the northern seaboard of Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon.
