MANILA, Philippines—An honest passenger who found $3,000 in an envelope inside a toilet cubicle at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 turned over the money to authorities on Wednesday before boarding her flight for South Korea.

Aviation Security Corp. security guard Rhoda Rualo said the Filipino woman, who asked not to be identified, left the money with her and asked her to look for its owner.

According to the finder, an elderly woman had used the cubicle before her but when asked, the latter denied that the envelope was her’s.
